Mick's. It seems like you have had a rough go sticking your neck out for Kikkert.

I think it's funny how you're letting everyone know how kikkert is a goof when it comes to business but your website does not even work. It's kind of odd how as a reputable company these days though that you post a website that does not even work. www.mickscustoms.com

I'm looking for an alternative to the kikker bobber but it seems there's currently nothing available. I hope that someone can develop an altenative to these bikes soon.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a different manufacturer of an alike bike?

Monetary Loss: $2800.

Check Cleavland Cycle Werks. (http://www.clevelandcyclewerks.com/cleveland-motorcycles/).

I met the founder (Scott) a few years ago and he's a standup guy.

His bikes are American built with a motor (250cc 4 stroke single) that Scott has made in China but to his criteria. There are four models and they have a good dealer network here in the states as well as around the world with a great reputation.

I think the bikes retail for just over 3k and their a full size bike.

The CCW is not better. The engine is a Honda CG125 clone that has been bored up to 233cc.

The bikes are made in China and the last part of assembly is done in the USA. They are not American built at all. The big difference between Kikker and CCW is their customer service.

They aren't American bikes though. They're not designed or built in the USA.

Hey guy, looking for an alternative still? If so check out Cleveland Cycle Werks, "Tha Heist".

I recently purchased one and if your looking for something small to beat around town with or a blank canvas for customizing it's perfect. Oh and the price is right too, around $3500.

Buy a used Sportster or similar. They are REAL motorcycles.

If you think you can buy a safe, dependable EPA, DOT approved bike NEW for under $3K youre an ***.

Why buy Chinese junk from a shady company with an F rating with the BBB and HUNDREDS of complaints on the net? Get a clue!

I know the feeling. I relectny sold a 1991 Mercedes 420 SEL, because I had to move.

I loved that car, the first car I truly loved, despite all its problems. And I wanted another one. My in-laws' mechanic was selling a clean California 1983 Mercedes 300SD with 120,000 miles. The asking price was a bit high and there were a handful of cosmetic things wrong with it, like sagging seats, needed tires, alignment off and worn tires.

This was to be the sole daily driver of my family of three. Sure, those 5-cylinder Benz diesels last forever, and I immediately liked driving it. It reminded me of the 420 SEL. But I had visions of brittle 27-year-old plastic interior parts breaking every weekend or the A/C getting overwhelmed by 100+ degree heat.

I could see this car and its problems ruining a weekend family outing to the mountains. So instead, I bought a 1999 Crown Victoria P71 with 125,000 miles that served its whole life as a local fire chief's take-home ride.

Everything worked, and it was $1,000 less than the Benz. I don't regret this decision one bit.
