Kikker 5150 Hardknock Review from Mount Laurel, New Jersey
I bought into there dealership program thinking I was going to make a little money. But that ended very quickly the wiring harness adapter for the 250 vt didn't work first you have to change some wires around to get spark. Then your charging system doesn't work.So you have to change that around adf 2 more wires.and when you point it out they slander your name on line make jokes about you banned you from his chat line what an ***.So they won't sale to me anymore that's fine.Plug and play should be plug and pray I like that look of the bike I just have to go around and replace all the little cheap *** like the mico switches nice bike just bought from a *** that's all.live and learn.
Review in Equipment category from Tampa, Florida
I had my HK1 for about a year. Very good running bike with very minimal problems.
If you are not mechanically inclined don't buy one.
I got complimented all the time.. "Even By Cops"
NOT a death trap!!
Um just as an fyi yea You can still back order issues of the Easy Rider with Full Color ads from Harley Reading . " Now the little lady can ride too!!" and " Welcome to the new 883 Perfect starter for her" Start looking in the 80 after Harley Stopped making the iron hear line of sporty with the 1000cc motors.
The Iron Head was built to " keep up and compete with not only the Shovel head but with the lower priced metric bikers on the marker. Then I want to 84 85 Harley set sights on the women's market and made the 883 shorter built for her. That's where all the "Girls Bike" stuff came from well as much of the marketing ideas from the 80 failed as the term PC became more into play ( made more women mad) and Harley pulled the ads and left the Sporster as an intro to the Harley (PC) for beginner. Now we are all clear on that.
Just to let anyone know I own 95 Electra Glide Ultra Classic, 14 Dyna 103ci Wide Glide 88 Honda Shadow 600 And lastly a kicker 515* 125cc bobber. In Kentucky I hold Ins and a Motorcycle plate. I bought it in 2010 and have not had a problem with it. Where I live lots of small back roads hits 35 to 45 so if I run to the city i'm still good.
took it to bike night at QSL and it was the talk of the night. As for BBB I don't know about any of that. As for a "death trap" you must not know how to build a motorcycle.
And it's ok to not know how just don't slam something due to your lack of skill. When I Leave it at the clubhouse and other member use it for runs to the store and back.
Hostile and Atrocious Customer Services
Warning: Dealing with this company is futile. Product are inferior and Kit bikes show up with missing and broken parts.
If you have to deal with customer service or ordering parts be prepare to be insulted and attack in a hostile manner. I have been in the motorcycle business for 10 years and have never experience such horrible customer service where the personnel attacks and call customers vulgar names and threaten not to sell parts or replace damage products. Customer service would not even listen before they start attacking and using foul languages. Their atrocious behaviors is unprofessional and uncalled for.
When I stated that I was going to file a complaint with consumers affair and the better business bureau they seem to find that amusing obviously they have no business ethics and don't don't about their products of their customers. Please spare yourself and do not deal with this company.

Kikker 5150 A dealers perspective Micks Customs
I am the owner of Micks Customs and ive been a Hardknock dealer since 2006. Kelly has ripped me and my customers off many times.
Ive even defended him right here on Pissed Consumer. Well im done, he is a very poor business person, a total *** hole to customers and all of his designs are just stolen ideas from other REAL BIKE BUILDERS. I am coming out with my own bobber kit and in cloaboration with others too. He is about to see the competition of his life unfold in front of him.
Bye Bye Kikker 5150. You screwed the wrong guys this time. A group of us dealers all got together and have been working on our own inventions. We know from Kelly Kikkert how not to run a business so, Thank You skinny little worm for teaching us how to be your biggest competition.
I have proof from his own words that he copies ideas from other bike builders if anyone wants them. Oh yah there will not be a 250cc bike because the liability is too large, i have that copied too.
Have a nice day Mr. Kikkert See you all soon WWW.MICKSCUSTOMS.COM
Bad deal

Says it all that needs to be known unless you just want the simple pleasure of not knowing whether or not you will be safe with the product or the company. Fly by night joke to me.
Seems if they wanted to be actual professionals they would address any and all situations brought to them by the bbb, yet they wish to play dumb and ignore them.
Which is their choice to do so. Not worth the headacke to me to risk it.
Danerous
My son crashed one of these head on into a telephone poll. Because of the suicide shifter my son was unable to negotiate a turn and ran head on into a telephone poll this last weekend.
He nearly died and has approx 100k in medical expenses (so far). Witnesses say and a video shows him with one hand on the shifter and the other trying to turn this thing. there is a good reason these shifters aren't used on bikes these days and my son had to learn the hard way.
please let me know if you have had similar experience. This bike has other inherent dangers built into it that could have been a factor in his crash.
Really?
Mick's. It seems like you have had a rough go sticking your neck out for Kikkert.
I think it's funny how you're letting everyone know how kikkert is a goof when it comes to business but your website does not even work. It's kind of odd how as a reputable company these days though that you post a website that does not even work. www.mickscustoms.com
I'm looking for an alternative to the kikker bobber but it seems there's currently nothing available. I hope that someone can develop an altenative to these bikes soon.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a different manufacturer of an alike bike?
Warning to customers and dealers!
Just the facts about the Kikker bikes.
The bike comes as a bag of parts. Often parts are missing or do not fit. The bike is approximately 1/2 scale. Takes a few hours to assemble.
These bikes can not be registered in many states because the VIN#'s are fake. In my state, they actually pulled the titles of bikes that were already titled. Others, we had to find a (somewhat illegal) way to register the bikes. Registering the bikes as "home built". Which took 4-8 hours of inspection (per bike) with the highway patrol. Even after all this, those titles were also revoked after 3 months. To legally sell a bike in the USA, you have to be registered with the NHTSA as a Manufacturer. The kikkers is not.
Selling a motorcycle in the USA without DOT parts is a major crime. Kikkers have no DOT parts. Dealers selling kikkers can be fined a minimum of $7500 per bike if caught, max in in the hundred of thousands. We found out that we could go to jail for selling a vehicle that does not have any DOT parts. Really, what a shock that knowingly, or even unknowingly selling a bike without legal parts, dealers are held liable.
The bikes are not on the list of approved manufacturers with the NHTSA. Check for yourself. http://204.68.195.151/cars/rules/manufacture/
Motors are not legal for road use, No EPA certification. EPA does not even know how he gets the motors into the country, because they did tell us this is 100% illegal.
Dealers selling bikes without EPA certification are held liable for all bikes they put on the road. Now that I know about the extent of illegal that this company was perpetrating, we would have never got involved.
Now for some opinions: If you run a legal business, stay away from this product.
There is a small clan of diehard people who we have talked to on a forum that is run by the owner of the company. To those people: This guy Kelly does not care about you, or anyone else's safety, and I know this 1st hand.
This message is directed towards the average business owner, small shop and average rider. This illegal motorcycle is not worth the hassle. Better to deal with a reputable distributor and company.
It was not until we did some research and educated ourselves on motorcycles, and the US laws, that we realized how illegal it actually is to sell this bike to customers.
We have done our best to just illuminate some facts and not be inflammatory. Thank you for the time you have taken to read our experience with this product. We will stay far away from Kikker from now on.
Does anyone have the Tax ID of Kelly Kikkert?
Everything is fixed
Beware of Kikker 5150!
I was a customer and a dealer. This clown Patrick Kelly Kikkert (alias Kelly Kikker, alias Kelly Kikkert, alias "Killer") ripped me off royally.
It started with sending the wrong bikes and parts, it progressed to lying about MSO's. It ended with him cashing a sizeable check from me and cutting off all contact. He eventually sent me 2 incomplete bikes and still owes me over $1000. His business is in the toilet and he's too ignorant to even know it.
Maybe he does and thats why he's screwing so many people lately.
Beware! You WILL be next if deal with this loser.
Lie, lies, lies!
